Where Silverleaf Neighborhood, Pelham is Located

The Silverleaf neighborhood is located in Pelham, Alabama, and is a part of Shelby County. This neighborhood is off of Oak Mountain Trail, so not only is it close to the largest state park in Alabama, Oak Mountain, but it’s also close to main roads like County Road 52, 119, and Interstate 65. 

There are two ways to get to I65 from this neighborhood. Silverleaf is a little over a mile from County Road 52, and four miles from the intersection of 119 and I65 – which offers a lot of restaurants, such as Cracker Barrel, Creekside BBQ, Seafood King, Chick Fil A, Applebee’s, Edgar’s, Margarita Grill, and more. 

The quickest way to get to I65 is to go South towards Pelham Towne Center. This is a little over a mile and a half away and gets you right to the interstate. Pelham Towne Center offers a Publix for grocery shopping, a few restaurants, including Smiley Brothers. The Pelham Racquet club is also across the street. Being this close to I65 is such a benefit as you can get to the interstate quickly and it’s even better since you have different options to choose from on how to get there.

According to Nextdoor, the Silverleaf neighborhood residents love living in their neighborhood because it’s beautiful, clean, the community, it’s family friendly, dog friendly, and it’s full of nature such as birds, creeks, trees, and parks. The main interests that the residents enjoy are home improvement and DIY, gardening and landscape, dogs, cooking, walking, bbq and grilling, dinner parties, and road trips.

Homes in Silverleaf Neighborhood

The homes in Silverleaf offer large lots and are off main roads so you will feel like you aren’t right in the middle of the busy city life. The houses are established, so there is no new construction. Homes vary in size and build, but this neighborhood features mainly four-sided brick homes. 

This neighborhood was built in the early 2000s, and some homes have a wonderful feature for living in the Birmingham area: basements! The outdoor space in this neighborhood is one of the most compelling assets. While prices and size varies throughout the homes in Silverleaf, most are two stories with basements, garages, and some even have views of Oak Mountain State park!

Silverleaf Neighborhood School Zones

Silverleaf neighborhood is zoned for Pelham Oaks Elementary School (which is a little over 2.5 miles away), Pelham Park Middle School (which is a little over 4 miles away), and Pelham High School (which is less than 5 miles away).

What’s Closeby to Silverleaf Neighborhood?

As we’ve mentioned previously, Silverleaf is down the street and off the main road to Oak Mountain State Park, so you can visit and enjoy the outdoors without having to travel far at all! Learn more about Oak Mountain here: Oak Mountain State Park

A small local park is close by, Coker Park, so you can enjoy a stroll or walk your dog outside the neighborhood if you choose. Although, the neighborhood itself is a gorgeous place to go for a walk. 

You’re also close to the Pelham Civic Complex which houses different events and has an ice skating rink. The Birmingham Bulls, Birmingham’s indoor hockey team, also has games here. Right next to the Pelham Civic Complex is Oak Mountain Amphitheater, where outdoor shows are held. It’s such a great area to be close to! On this side of Pelham you are also close to 119 and I65, and have restaurants (listed before: Cracker Barrel, Margarita Grill, also a McAllister’s, Sonic, and even a bowling alley!) to choose from.

If you go South from the Silverleaf neighborhood, then you will hit the Pelham Towne Center with the Publix and Pelham Racquet club as mentioned.
