Should I buy a House without a Real Estate Agent?

Are you looking to buy your first home? Do you even know where to start? Buying a house for the first time can be an exciting but overwhelming process! Besides searching for the perfect home, most first time buyers have questions about how much they can afford on a house, where to find a home they can afford, and whether or not they need a real estate agent to buy a house.

So, should you buy a house without a real estate agent? To answer this question, let me tell you what all a realtor can do to help you through the process of buying your first home.

What Can a Real Estate Agent Do?

If you’re wondering what all a real estate agent can do, then you came to the right place! Going through the buying (or selling) process on your own can be daunting. Why not have an expert by your side to guide you through the process?

Real estate agents are licensed professionals whose job it is to help their clients with real estate transactions. This includes helping buyers buy a home and sellers sell their home (and so much more!). Realtors setup showings for buyers to tour homes for sale, help with offer contracts and closing contracts, setup appraisals and inspections for the home being bought, send needed documents to the lender for a mortgage, and so much more.

As a real estate, I help my buyers by advising they get preapproved before looking at homes. You don’t want to start looking at homes without knowing exactly what you can afford! Then I setup showings to look at homes within the price range and area my clients want to live in. I will help them write strong offers so they are more likely to get a home, I guide them through the process of scheduling home inspections and appraisals, setup the closing date, help with the closing documents, and make sure they get into their new homes okay!

For me, the client relationship doesn’t end once my buyers are in their first home. I am here to stay in touch and answer questions and help you with any of your future real estate needs.

So do you need a real estate agent to buy a house? I would say so! Take the pressure off of yourself and let a professional help you buy a home.
